Iphone is a Device OR Operating Platform First?

So Indians are getting close to 3G phenomenon.I am excited to see how things go now in our country when Internet did not go as far one had expected here from the early days of 95-96and so do the penetration of Notebooks,Laptops and Desktops with so many designs overloaded with features which were marketed as these features are only available to peoples from other planet like mars or Jupiter of the UNIVERSE!!

Other interesting point would be to find is it internet which didn't look useful or proved useful to majority of people and therefore Computer penetration kept a low figures OR Vice-versa.

If Its the other way around means People( "common people" and not Jet Flying and executive class ) have still not realized any usefulness of computers to their daily lives then hey GOD please give enough willpower and strength to all poor and hardworking marketers to make further attempts and try out their best to convince people to buy computers .

If in close to 15 years internet penetration is nearing to 50 Million mark then seriously something is wrong somewhere. Off course we are atleast 1130 Million so people using Internet should not be at such levels.

Now contrary to Computers and its effect on Internet penetration ,Mobile phones came like a Tornado and its intensity is still not over. We are close to 400 Million with 10 Millions additions every month.

So who is getting better on other ? SIMPLE!!!

Mr Jobs has better vision of future than Mr Gates!.

Everyone makes a Mobile device .Even Chinese can make better phones than Finnish engineers!! Sorry Just Joking .Nothing Personal.

Mr Jobs would have definitely realized this after waking up one morning and he would have decided well let me also make a mobile device.Then he would have stopped and decided that No ...Just a device is not the end of GAME.And He invented the entire Operating Platform with features and then made a device to represent all those features.And world got a IPhone.

Don't you think Apples is selling IPhone operating platform than IPhone Device.I don't have second thoughts on that.

And who is going to challenge that kind of Platform? Well there are 2 other smart people on our planet to tackle Mr Jobs!!

You would have guessed ..No..Give one more try. No Not Still..oh you are so unaware.

They are Serlary Friends.YES Sergy Brin and Larry Page .

Android is going to be competing to Iphone operating platforms for future mobile market of devices as well as software platforms .

I don't know if Apple is ready to sell their IPhone Platforms to other device manufacturers OR it will only be available through Iphones.

And so next time when you go to shop to buy some smart phone after the mad rush of 3G launch(Which I am sure will happen !!) please check if you are paying for device or Operating platform.

Which 3G scheme is better? Reliance,Tata,Airtel,BSNL,MTNL......lol :)

Big Bang theory of Internet

Probably You would like to bet on that analogy with your friends..if you do that please don't forget to pass on some royalty to me.

Everyone knows how far we have come since the basic evolution of Internet world and Few Bright Stars and discovery of new stars and planet..

Early stars  were found as Microsoft,SUN,IBM..New stars were discovered Google..Then  planets came into pictures like blogs,tech news sites etc who revolved around  few  specific and niche industry and so on..

I doubt we are in stage of discovering Black holes now..which actually absorbs so much of information and probably informations are not coming out from it..I m not sure if Facebook,Myspace Or Twitter should be  seen as Black-holes of Internet Industry but  i guess it's certainly behaving like that.

And with the popularity of these black-hole applications known as social media platforms ,black holes themselves should be seen in positive light and not some demon.

Some would like to argue that these social  media platforms are actually planets where people have started to  live and whole  ecological  system is  under development  .

But  Really we are following  something  similar  of our Universe evolution in the Internet world and  many more galaxies are  to be discovered and many more planets are under  evolution where life can survive .

Just can't stop myself stretching my Imagination more of bringing this analogy..It may look ridiculous but definitely there should be some parallels here in this new world of Internet where people are settling and living than actual real world..so What's Your Say!  

Premium comes after basic is seen..Probable Marketing Theory

You can easily observe it and no need to be you sitting somewhere and apple falling off on head to discover the eureka moment..

So i thought it can be just a probable marketing theory..Here are the observation(in fact i should definitely get zillions of such observations but then marketing research tells us sampling is better than census..so why to search for those many observations to right the hypothesis..)

Story goes like this..simplestlyy simple ..First came the wheel then bullock-carts,horse carts.then horse powered cars..well definitely one observes basic value shifts to premium..
First came basic T-model from ford and then came the audis,mercedes,rolls-royce,etc..again basic changing to some premium stuff..

Similar things are happening on Internet world..in my college days few applications came which said to connect me with my college and school friends..don't remember the name.it s still there..then i guess it should have evolved into Orkut ,Facebook,myspace,linkedin,twitter and others..Also sharing of something changed from basic to premium like photo sharing(flickr,picasa,etc) to music sharing,video sharing (hulu,lala,youtube,last.fm and million others!!) to desktop sharing(rapidsharing,teamviewer,torrents etc..) and many more to come!!

Next wave of developments are said to be in virtualisation of servers or Cloud computing..lets see it rather prepare ourselves to face it. more than sure it will happen!

Interestingly same things should happen in so called Search Engines..Came Google ,yahoo and others!!(with basic search based on Keywords) now the likes of alltop,Kosmix,oneriot is coming ..i am not sure if they are some premium version but they claim so by offering something new proposition in their view..

also the applications like Googlereader,Pipes,Protopage,
pageflakes,netvibes etc etc ..which are applications for aggregating news items from your interested field of search and browsing history and similar other premium parameters..

I guess Internet consumers would decide if they need basic Google or premium stuff for some cost!! time will tell..

Sometimes i get passionate that there is scope for everyone with good idea but it looks so challenging and frustrating at other times!! that how to come out with that unique idea which would look Premium to everyone and one will feel that he was the driver for people to take them from Basic to world of premium..

You would definitely find zillions of such examples for which you have to believe in one philosophy that Apple always falls on the head of who thinks on it rather than eat it:) better not to eat that apple as Newton did and went on write 3 laws of motion and relativity theory !!WOW thanks to that Great Apple !!..oOOps I again mentioned about Steve Jobs!!Anyways you cant hide something which you like..and so it keeps coming out at occasions in some indirect way..

The future of Digital Content And Its Role

I came across two different Blog articles which mentions about the increasing relevance of Digital Content.World has already seen the role of it in Obama Victory.I got a research report how Obama Achieved the success what has he achieved?

The other article which says about the 2009-5 Trends that will change media and substantiates the idea of Micro payments in Web Based Entertainment Portal.

Interestingly the 4th Trend in above article says that users are beginning to pay for digital consumption!! WOW ..Motivating for so many Entrepreneurs out in the world to create value applications which will be monetizable ..So i guess now VC's would look to such Proposed Idea with sound business model :) Well Lets Hope for better Times in 2009 for Media and Entertainment!!

well Slumdog makes to Nominations..22 Feb D result day!!

Its feel like traditional when a movie gets awards at some International event Like BAFTA it's certain to get nominations for OSCARS and also chances of winning in that category is also very high..so lets wait till 22nd Feb.

In my earlier post i expected it but it will get nominated in 9 category(but 10 Nominations with 2 nomination in single category for best score) that is surprising!!

Anyways its really good to see that Indian Story is getting appreciated across the globe..there are people who are saying that it creates a wrong image for the country but still movies are meant for Expressions and it should be enjoyed in that boundary..sometimes movie goes on to make a real connection from real life like Slumdog and sometimes not..so appreciations should be welcomed for that effort of connecting reality through movie.

In past many Indian films went for OSCAR race but were eliminated ,hope so this time we make through..

Nyways who knows film gets all 10 awards where it s nominated..everything is possible.."Ye Dil Mange More!!"

I guess world has to recognize the sheer talent of A R Rehman and Gulzar Saab..Also not to forget the singing of Sukhwinder and direction of Danny Boyle.And Finally the acting crew ..i always like the presence of AK on screen..Ekdum Zhakaas..

Traveling in a tourist bus for long distance without any friend..you can imagine what pain you go through..Best to be equipped with laptop,internet data card,digi and Continuous FM radio..time spent was entertainingly comfortable.

Well the idea of starting something on your own and alone(if needed) gets lot of inspiration by actually interacting with current young entrepreneurs and listening to who's who of VC community ..you should make a jump risking everything what do you have at present .One gets touchy by seeing those people who are slogging out there in such a cruel economy for past so many years and still optimistic for sunny day!!

Slumdog millionaire winning BAFTA awards..great !!

Story is from our Mumbai..and one of the Jhakaassss Actor is in the film ..ekdum jhakaass Anil Kapoor..Bollywood Super Hero SRK rejected the Role before AK grabbing it..and now the film is in race for OSCARS!! WOW...all the best to entire team..

I guess SRK doesn't learn from mistakes :In past he has refused an offer in other film to make way for another AK! .. for Lagaan when he turned door to Mr. Gowarikar and the Movie went to OSCARS but Lost in The end:( So SRK Don't you want that Lady shining in your hands?

"Luckily by chance" sometime back i pressed my remote button while surfing on TV and got the opportunity to listen to Jeffery Archer in a TV program where he said -if you have talent you can live a just normal life,but a person without talent but with great energy can in fact is possible of doing amazing things and then he said a person with Talent and energy both will be doing greatest ..

so Come on SRK i guess you have both of it..you are in the Line for OSCAR..don't be discouraged.. you just need that Luck by Chance:)

Possibly SRK should take a clue from it that Google was turned away by many VC firms for their IDEA and those companies put this mistake proudly on their website !!

Then Indian Idol contest is in final rounds. "Bhanu " this Chap kept participating with lot of desire and guts for last 3 season(possibly from 2003 when show started!!) and got eliminated before Gala Rounds in each season..this was fourth attempt to make big and in this season he was also rejected in initial round on technical grounds in a group singing stage but dramatically he got a one more chance that day to come in next round..it was a very emotional moment..that proves what does it mean to keep pursuing your dream consistently and something magical happens and you get awarded for..bhanu has won that day itself for his self-belief and fighting spirit for which he had left his home for last 4 years now for achieving his mission.

He will be there in memory for long time for his sheer act of Energy and talent and proving Jeffery Archer Right.

Lastly very Sad news that model Steve Jobs is in serious medical pain once again after 2004 when he successfully negotiated and came out well of his pancreatic cancer problem and during his memorable speech at Stanford where he said and i quote"No one wants to die.Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to go there.But death is certain and that is the destination we all share" and probably because he knows he's going to die one day he works more harder as if it s his last day..Don't worry Mr Jobs!! You have the true wishes of your followers and god listens to true wishes..Your idea is not over still and we need more of it..So please recover fast.Amen!!

Well no introduction required for this Genius from big screen..

Everyone will agree that there is something unique in his performance whenever he comes on big screen..it s not a question of finding out who gets the top spot..its for all those media channels who have gone empty in their minds and are creating such discussions for no sake..everyone is uniquely talented..and people don't cry if their favorite is not voted number 1 by all..is it? do u cry??off course not??so let these media guys to do their work which they do best..i.e. Publicity with no originality??

well here is a list of his movies which many of us will recall for his excellent acting ..QSQT ,DIL,Andaaz apna apna,Hum hai rahee payr ke,Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar,Rangeela,Ghulam,Raja Hindustani,Ishq,Sarfarosh,DCH,Lagaan,Mangal Pandey,RDB,Taare Zammen Par,Ghajini..

Out of those movies there is one interesting thing that he performs better whenever there is a group of people involved around or there is some issue surrounding people in films like HHRPK(looking after his sis children and saving his business), JJWS(winning championship for his brother,father,school,friends..) Ghulam(fighting for injustice),Sarfarosh(Fighting terrorists),DCH(how not to forget Friends and what is friendship..well that s my understanding of film) ,lagaan (His best ..went for Oscar also..how he inspires poor villagers to challenge their rulers),Mangal Pandey(well thats a true story so he performed on a story which is part of Indian History),RDB (revolt depicting Bhagat Singh),TZP(how should we treat to small kids even if he s normal..its not only about abnormal but every kid..don't u agree!!)

Well in all his movies there is a sense(i say loads of sense) of humor which we want to live with in our everyday life..i guess in every film there is some element of humor even if the core theme is different..especially from JJWS,Andaaz Apna Apna,Rangeela,Ishq,DCH

Even in his other films there are scenes which make us laugh ..so precious!!!

He recently said in a interview that he goes into a Pre-natal depression before release of his every film and it takes him lot of time to come out of his role in the film and probably thats the reason he is seen doing one film a year on average...

he wants to change one weakness as he said..he wants to be more organized and structured ..i cant digest it..from no angel he looks unorganized and unstructured..anyways he thinks so he may be correct..no argument..

He said he s lazy!!well how does it matter ..films is for only 3 hrs and rest of the time he can sleep(if all his film is made in 3 hrs..sorry that s not possible..sorry for such a foolish logic..means no logic)..or he s so lazy that it takes him so much of time to understand a script and then perform that only one film comes to a big screen every year.. well whatever be the case..we don't mind his being lazy...

his best Hollywood movie Forrest Gump and best bollywood actor Dilip Kumar..

well this guy has really made his father proud and proved the words from his first film song("papa kehte hai bada naam karega i.e.father says his son will make him proud one day") correct ....to a latest song from Ghajini-kaise mujhe tum mil gayee..kismat pe aaye na yakeen (how did you meet me..i cant believe on my luck)..well thats all his hard work..You have to believe Your Luck Dear AK..

We look to his new film based on five point someone(By Famous Chetan Bhagat) where he will be depicting engineering student and if it sticks to story from the novel then he ll be performing a life of mechanical engineer and the pain one goes thru doing engineering ..well there is always something likable about we mechanical engineers:) (don't read it as maniacal engineers)..waiting for the movie..
